EOI Community Engagement Sub-Committee

We are seeking expressions of interest to be involved as part of our Community Engagement Sub-Committee. This group focuses on engaging people in our catchment and encouraging physical activity for the wellbeing of our wider community.

We are seeking people to join and support our Community Engagement Sub Committee in a voluntary capacity in the below areas:

• INCLUSION – help us identify and foster relationships with local organisations to provide access for all members of the community
• SCHOOL PRESENCE – help us to get basketball into more schools through Sporting Schools, Come & Try Sessions, Academies and Extra-curricular programs
• COMMUNITY OUTREACH – help us build our introductory participation opportunities to physical activity and wellbeing through the power of basketball

Some of the things you can help us work towards:

1. Introductory basketball available within 15 minutes of any child in the region
2. Inclusion programs to support identified priority groups in the region
3. Engagement with all schools in our catchment

COMMITMENT:

The commitment is a minimum of once per month sub-committee meeting and follow up of action items taken on during these meetings.
